About Us

The Whitehat Society is a cybersecurity special interest group in Singapore Management University (SMU), founded by a group of students who are passionate about information security.

Our members train for cyber defence competitions and advocate security knowledge to the SMU's community and beyond.

Our Mission

Representation

The Whitehat Society represents the information security students of SMU.

We are the first point of contact for external entities to collaborate on information security matters. Concurrently, we assist our university community by hosting security talks and organizing industry visits.

Awareness

The Whitehat Society aims to inculcate the importance of information security.

Cybersecurity plays an important role in protecting our digital presence. We must understand potential threats and adopt best practices to mitigate security risks.

Promotion

The Whitehat Society believes in the importance of nurturing cybersecurity talent.

As the need for security specialists increases, we aim to promote a career in information security. We share industry knowledge and career opportunities with our members.
